The downloadable desktop version packages the original Java application for current Windows computers.

Compatibility changes: interface construction runs on Swing's event-dispatch thread; auto-run uses a Swing timer; pseudocode highlighting refreshes immediately; the drawing panel clears reliably; navigation locking and the window title were corrected.

Packaging: the obsolete JApplet entry point is excluded. A Windows runtime is included, so Java does not need to be installed separately.

Lessons: the desktop version contains the original six lessons. Midpoint Circle is available in the web app.
